GIBBLY
Description and Design
Gibbly is a privately held Ontario based provider of educational software created in 2023. Driven by Artificial Intelligence, the website markets itself as an "AI-powered teaching tool that saves educators hours of prep time each week by generating ready to use lesson presentations, lesson plans, assessments, quizzes, and gamified review assignments (Ontario, n.d.).
The website offers three plan levels which include a free basic plan, a paid yearly plan, and yearly school licenses charged per teacher.

The Gibbly website provides both the opportunity to create your own educational materials or choose from a large number of user made materials on various topics.

AI Creation Options
If you choose to create your own quizzes or lessons, you then have the option to create them manually or, alternately, have AI create them for you using input options such as Topic, Grade Level, Language, Number of Questions. Additionally, you have the option to link to outside resources including videos, blogs, developed curriculums, and stand-alone documents.
Depending on which option you choose- Quizzes or Lessons, the created product will have the look and feel of a very simple gamified quiz or printable multiple choice quiz (Figure 4), or a Slide Presentation similar to PowerPoint, Canva Slides, or Google Slides (Figure 5).

The lessons can be shared with the learners online via Google Drive or PowerPoint while the online quizzes can be completed individually by the learners or in groups.
Using Scapin & Bastien's ergonomic criteria for evaluating interactive systems (1997), the website, on paper, looks very much in line with the principals of good soft-ergonomics.
There are large clickable buttons with clear labels, the quizzes and lessons are concise, there are no unexpected system actions, and the products are consistent in their look and maneuverability. All of this being said, I found the website generally underwhelming.
Recommended age level for use of this platform would be early primary grades 1-5.
